Pipes Aston Sites

Field work in the parish since 1995 has located a number of abandoned habitation and production site. All that is known about many of these is derived from surface collection of finds either from ploughsoils or mole upcasts. These all add to our understanding of the parish structure and lives of the people in previous times. Many of the sites produce a background of medieval pottery deriving from the twelfth to the sixteenth century.
